Plant-based and resource saving
Our brush heads are completely manufactured and packed in southern Germany. From there, they are transported directly by truck to our warehouse in Hamburg.
Simply use the pin at the bottom of your new TIO head to release the worn out brush head with a little pressure. To do this, press into the recess on the back of your toothbrush. Meanwhile pull the head out of the handle.
We have deliberately decided to use a longer replaceable head, as this is the only way to guarantee the necessary hygiene. The gap is located outside the mouth area and any accumulation of germs is thus kept at a distance from the body.
Although the material of our brush heads is theoretically compostable, bioplastics in Germany are unfortunately not yet allowed to be disposed in the bio bin.
Until this happens, the replaceable heads are best kept in residual waste, which means that they end up in thermal recycling.
Nice to know: As TIO is based on plants and plants bind a lot of CO₂ during photosynthesis, only (almost) all CO₂ is released during thermal recycling which was bound by the plants during growth – this makes TIO toothbrushes almost CO₂ neutral.
So that you can clean your teeth sustainably in multi-person households and avoid mix-ups, the replacement heads are available in four vivid colors
coral (pink), pebble (grey), lagoon (turquoise) and glacier (blue).
Yes, the Tiobrush is available in two different degrees of bristle stiffness depending on your preference.
Medium – with a stepped profile for thorough cleaning of the interdental spaces.
Soft – especially gentle for people with sensitive gums.
