Who is also sustainable? Shaft!

Plug-in mechanism, housing and spinning area all fully consist of plant-based and recyclable bioplastics. Only the movable center inside is still made of a classic, crude oil-based plastic, which is necessary due to the high strain on that part. However, this section only makes up about 10% of our replaceable head.

Bright green bristles

Our bristles consist of 100% renewable raw materials as they are based on castor oil. It’s extracted from seeds of the fast-growing wonder tree. Castor oil is a completely renewable resource that does not require large amounts of water, uses only a small acreage of farmland and is therefore perfectly suited for a future of sustainable agriculture.

For thorough cleaning

The rotating head of the brush ensures an even cleaning of teeth and gums. With its small size our head design allows for optimal navigation in your mouth and lets you easily reach even the back corners. At the same time our bristles rounded tips let your teeth shine without hurting sensitive areas.

Matches popular brush systems

Instead of creating our own electric toothbrush, we have decided to design attachable heads compatible with current Oral-B® rotary electric toothbrushes. This saves resources because you get to continue using an electric toothbrush you already own – only now you can top it off in a sustainable way.

*Compatible with the following models

Pro, Trizone, ProfessionalCare®, ProfessionalCare® Smart Series, Healthy Clean®, Vitality®, Pro-Health®, Oral-B Triumph®, AdvancePower.
(Oral–B®, ProfessionalCare®, Vitality®, Healthy Clean®, Pro-Health®, Oral-B Triumph® are protected trademarks of Procter & Gamble Business Services Canada Company.)

Eco-Friendly package

Our packaging is made of FSC® certified cardboard and can easily be recycled. In addition, we compensate for all production-related emissions by supporting climate protection projects.

Questions about Tiomatik

If something is still unclear, please have a look at the frequently asked questions. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Where is the Tiomatik made?

Our Tiomatik is produced in China, in the city of Shenzhen in the southern part of Guangdong province.

It is then is transported by train via the Silk Road from China to Germany. When it arrives here, it is brought by truck to our warehouse. This is probably the most environmentally friendly way of transporting goods – long-distance transport.

Are there different colours?

So that you can also brush in a multi-person household with only one handpiece, there are four colour variants of the Tiomatik. At the lower end of the shaft there is a small coloured Ring through which you can distinguish the interchangeable heads. There are two different colours in each pack, matching pairs are available. Coral/Glacier Pebble/Lagoon.

Why don't you make your own electric handpiece?

Since rotating electric toothbrushes have become very common in recent years, we want to give all users the chance to clean their teeth in a sustainable way with as little effort and additional resource consumption as possible. Therefore, our Tiomatik attachable heads fit on most of the common models. So you can continue to use your existing handpiece, but with a green head.

What about the disposal?

The mounting adapter, the housing and the bristle plate can be recycled in the yellow bin, but this would require all parts to be carefully separated – which is difficult. All other parts can end up in residual waste. If separation is too complex for you, you can dispose the complete brush head in the residual waste. There, a lot of energy is recovered through thermal recycling because the skin component is plant-based. Only as much CO₂ is released into the atmosphere as the plants absorbed during their growth. This means that we are virtually CO₂ neutral. To compensate for the rest, we support foundations such as Plant-for-the-Planet. The packaging can simply be put into the paper bin, where it is recycled.

How do you save on trash?

Instead of the common plastic packaging we use environmentally friendly FSC® cardboard, which you can simply recycle in the paper bin.
